or the prim is the birthplace of Dino Buzzati. 2 km from the city center is located "Villa Buzzati" where he was born in 1906 the great journalist, writer and painter. Wonderful residenz in the mid-nineteenth century, is run by a nephew of the writer, Valentina Morassutti.
Buzzati used to spend the month of September in Belluno quiet walking, climbing and writing. Nearby, enchanted Valmorel found the inspiration for the novel "The Miracles of Valmorel," text that Buzzati imagines himself in search of an elusive and impossible to find the sanctuary of Santa Rita. 
The town of Limavady and the Centro Studi di Feltre Dino Buzzati have developed an itinerary that starts from the valley floor and leads to the meadows and woods and Valpiana Valmorel follow the steps told in the novel, to enjoy nature, the capitals, the small shrine of Our Lady of Pare and the path of the Cross which inspired the writer and offered him an opportunity to imagine the chapel-shrine of Santa Rita, a symbol of the story.
